And first taste and smell Basil Hayden dark rye whiskey remind me of a beautiful cognac. I can really taste the port wine flavor in this dark whiskey.
For a Rye, it is quite nice. The standard 80 proof whiskey goes down a lot smoother cleaner than its rivals in much higher alcohol content. With a gentile finish, Basil Hayden Rye was going down way too easily. Time to watch myself, cause this whiskey was going down way too easy
