The nose was strong but certainly not overpowering. I feel that I’m off to a good start.
The first taste, even for an over proofed whiske, was not bad at all. The Buffalo Trace has a very sweet sour mash flavor just a little bit of a burn going down. Add in some ice and I was good to go, Right?!?
The head was certainly mellow but with just enough acid reflux to remind me not to go for that “third” drink.
The morning after was quite less to be desired but cretainly survivable.
All in all Buffallo Trace is a pretty good whiskey and at this price who’s complaining.
