Tomatin

Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey
86 Proof
$32

It’s really hard to come across a single malt scotch whiskey let alone  one that has aged for 12 years for under my $60 a bottle that wont cause you to go blind. Tamatin is in the house and it’s looking good.
Highland scotches in general, are smooth, less peaty and very clean tasting. Aged in bourbon and Sherry cask with a light but present of peat. Tamatin is non complex, just a good sipping whiskey.

No need to ice it down, this whiskey go to go straight from the bottle. A little trick is too rinse out my glass to leave just a slight trace of water. These few drops of water does something very special to the scotch that opens up all of its complex flavors.

The follow day was no too bad either. Just a bit glassy eyed but still functional and so ready to ride.

Cheers
