The nose of Slane is, at first, with a dark hearty aroma and a slightly sweet sent, alls good till that nose turns to fire!

The first sip, neat, starts off interesting with rich and almost sweet carmel flavor but grows to a finish that can strip paint. Ice for the Slane! But even with a couple of cubes the finish is still rough and ragged. In short it’s a cheep bottle of whiskey that taste like a cheep bottle of whiskey. Good in a pinch or for mixing but I would not recommend it for a sipping. 

The morning after I felt beat to shit. No love on my morning ride. Lesson learned…
