Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskey
Oh, I’m Happy! Whenever I see a scotch going for under $45 a bottle I always feel a little apprehensive. For $27 I thought I was buying a bottle of pure Gasoline. 5 alarm fire with a level 10 hangover. I was almost completely wrong about this bottle.
All I can say is Glen Moray has done it right and done it ion the cheep. A rich and flavorful single malt aged in Sherry oak cask with just a slight hint of fruit and toffee making the nose really amazing. Neat, the finish is smooth and satisfying. Just a hint of peat (smoke) making this a wonderful sipping experience. Is Glen Moray as good as a $70 bottle of 14 year old Oban? Nope, not by a long shot, but for the price it’s fantastic!
The next day however… Not to bad. A bit glassy eyed but none worse for ware!
